it's been long time without updating this blog. to be honest, it's really moody in last 20 days. we've been happy, been sad, been laughing, been crying. the connection between us has been built up even we could only see each other thru a monitor. i believe we will meet again very soon. no matter what will happen, she is always our chihuahua, our lup lup. :)

1st blog of using "Blogo"
've been using osx 10.6 for a while and had loaded some useful application as well. today i've started using this app called 'blogo' on my mac to see if it works like how it supposed to be. the best thing of blogo is u don't have to login blogspot but writing blog directly thru this little piece of app. haha,.... i think this is such a good tool for those heavy loaded bloggers (like mkow, perdonare). but for now, i only found this for mac version. what a pity..

end of training
no doubt, this intensive training section gives me lot of useful information. believe it or not, this is my first month to explore the server by typing unix command, phrasing sql to read and understand database after being software testing for 6 years.. i know that mkow and mghost are really stepping ahead of me on these things but i believe it's never too late to know these from now. i didn't tackle down 18-bronze-man in this shaolin temple but the flame of my heart is starting to sparkle again. it's time to start a new page of my life with you (mghost). please support my back.

911
The 911 of this year has a special meaning for me. One of the Ms has finished his Australia trip. This trip is not too long but i could feel it must be not comfortable as we thought. Good job, mkow! I believe you should have a wonderful page of your life after this 222-day journey. Anyway, remember to treasure and cherish the remaining days at Aus. You should have no another 222-spare-day in short future. :D

shoulin temple..
i've started my 3rd week of my new job. the job and environment is not that easy to adapt with, at least not like the lives at xign :) (no offense, mkow and clown). i've treated this as the 'shoulin temple' in order to light back up my matches of 'software testing' and understand different business. no matter taking this as the future reference for mkow's plan or filling up my own bucket of water, this is very useful. i don't know how long would i stay but i'm pretty sure that bring this pair of left dragon + right tiger would have no harm of my upcoming life. mkow is coming back soon, looking forward for that.

brave new world
It might be a bad move. It could be a wrong path. But I do believe if you are with me, everything should be fine. Shatin is far but I will strive for coming back MK / TKO. I won't let you down. Let me hold your hand to enter this brave new world.

it's time to resume...
it has been paused for couple days and it's time to kick it running again. it has been separated for more than 6 months and it's almost time to make it back at one. this feeling has been hidden for almost 2 years and it's time to evoke it. there are a lot of tasks on my list and it's time to change them all to "!" mark. i'm not talking about WoW. i'm talking about the milestone.

this morning i read mkow's blog and got an idea about next generation of communication. i'm not a good initiator about new idea but i like to spend time on thinking and developing this stuff. i like to using pictures to present my idea as i'm not a good representative, so pls excuse my stupid drawings. anyways, here is what i thought based on mkow's brainstorming :)
1st gen - Face 2 Face (f2f)
this is what i start with... at the very beginning, each individial could only rely on talking / reacting with each other to express their feelings and demanding what they need. so, this is what 1st generation about:
- direct communication as a whole;
- rely on face to face contact and discussion
2nd gen - Phone
people starting work and live far from each other; however, communication is still necessary to survive. living standard and technology also started to arise, this 2nd generation becomes:
- people started to live with far distance
- direct communication becomes less important (say 1/2 left)
- face to face contact and discussion becomes less important
- hearing the voice is good enough to finish the communication (1/2 of whole)
3rd gen - Internet + Instant Messenger
Hearing the voice became the basic of communication from 2nd generation; however, the replacement, internet, started to develop during this generation. internet breaks the barrier of distance of people living and proving 'text' could also replace the need of voice:
- people started the need of mobility (say 1/4 of the whole)
- talking on phone requires to sacrifice the mobility of work
- direct communication becomes not important (say 1/4 left)
- using 'text' to replace the existance of phone conversation (1/2 of whole)
4th gen - Terminal (facebook, twitter...)
mobility becomes more and more important to each individual. people couldn't stand for staying in front of the instant messenger to discuss while leaving 'messages' (like voice mail in 2nd generation) instead. people started to believe communication is not necessary to work directly all the time. therefore, such terminals are helping people on this:
- mobility becomes the basis of life
- indirect communication being popular (3/4 of the whole)
- ways of direct communication still has their values but become very minor (1/4 of the whole)
when observing its trend, 'mobility' will, sooner or later, become the whole of communication. people inside this kind of community(F/B, twitter) can visit and discuss with each other. however, up to 4th gen, people still require to 'login' / 'access' those terminal to let people know their update. and also, people outside this community would never know what where those updates. so what i'm thinking of 5th gen will be like this:
all these communities will be united into one and people no need to login to it while the community will update all people about their friends' status. say for this example:
mkow is now riding his bike without carrying his laptop. when he passes a message collector, he could use his phone to send his message to the collector.(it doesn't matter what kind of message is sending as all communities are united) The collector will then transfer mkow message to the terminal, so that namidae would be notified about mkow's location right now.
under this situation, people are not bounded by each individual communities but the access to this united community. as i remembered mkow told me 'i want to buy iphone, so that no need to bring netbook'. this line implies that the need of netbook is access the web -> community, if the phone could do this, netbook is no need to carry.
that's what i thought about 5th gen, mkow, now is your turn to help on tweaking this :)

Pune
it's been quite a long time that didn't do posting here. this is my 7th day in Pune. the days here are actually pretty simple: wake up -> breakfast -> work -> home -> dinner -> tv / internet / chat -> sleep. no night life here but it's ok for me. one good thing here for me is there are couple movie channels so i can keep watching movie non-stop... haha. by the way, traditional india food is really different those in hk, at least the taste is not heavy. :)

individualism
I've started my individualism since you've been gone. It's been long time that I didn't have this feeling, I think it's been 3 years. I won't say it's hard for me to swallow the loneliness but just feel strange when being alone inside 4 walls and my teeth started to hybernate... Just hope these hundred something hours could fly faster and easier. Today keeps raining which make my mood down... what a coincidence..

Helix
The word "Helix" keeps poping up from my head these days after I first saw it from mkow's reply to one of the blogs. I found this magical word is actually pretty interesting. Imagine the helix on a screw and you were tiny enough to walk on it. Due to the gravity, you can't go backwards but keep going down on this unpredictable journey. You may be scared by the scenaries behind the corner but you should be brave enough to overcome all the bumpies otherwise you will get screwed!
It doesn't matter you are walking on a long, short, rotten, or stainless screw, as long as you finished your journey at its sharpest point.

dream comes true
it was pretty amazing that mkow and clown's idea, 3D OS, happens in the real world. Though it is still under development, the actual usage of it is really on-the-fly. Sorry about that it's pretty hard to explain the feeling when you see something dreaming of happens in front of you suddenly. I have quoted mkow's prediction of next generation of this dream. So that I've bookmarked his concept in one page of my life. And maybe can sell this idea some years later, haaha..
"let me think, the advanced version of this would be more than gesture. People start to use nerve signal instead of hand gesture to control a computer."

Time Machine
Time Machine is not an innocative concept anymore but still the fascinated dream of everyone, including myself. I like the conept of being travel back and forth on this neverending dimension. However, if you believe changing from the past would result in a better present life, then you will fail because if Time Machine works, everything on the timeline has been pre-destinated. Changing from the past could only change the result of this set of sequential events but could not predict what would happen if this set is not going to happen. Similarly, to predict your life from the future could only help you on doing something from now on achieve some goals in future but doesn't mean these goals are error free from your future life. I would get a ride on the Time Machine only if it is a read-only Timeline Machine.
